It makes no difference whether you need to hire these cranes and or plant equipment for a few hours or a few months you need to ensure you have covered your basis and understand what your commitments as the hirer are.
The Correct Tool
The first thing to do is to make sure you’re hiring the correct piece of equipment. You may think you know but, in many cases, we may be able to provide a better solution. So before booking anything have a chat with the company and explain what it is you need to do so that they can select the best plant hire for you. Some of our plant hire options have various sized pieces of equipment and again understanding the job you are undertaking will help us work with you to ensure the correct piece of kit gets to your site location.
Look for Insurance
It goes without saying that all plant hire companies should have the appropriate indemnity insurance however it is worth checking. There are, unfortunately, ‘dodgy’ companies in every industry who will try and cut corners and get away without spending their profits. We are 100% committed to ensuring that every piece of plant we hire out comes with the correct insurance to protect both you, us, and the public at large. We can also advise you as to whether any special permissions are needed from your local authority, or whether we are just at liberty to be able to bring a piece of equipment you need. All these things are worth checking to save you headaches in the long run.
Check for Hidden Costs
There may be delivery charges for bringing the plant to your site depending on how far away you are. We are committed to ensuring transparency and therefore any charges you will incur will be brought to your attention before you commit to anything. It is important that you can confirm that this piece of plant can be delivered right to the site on a company vehicle, as again unscrupulous companies might well turn around and tell you it is something you need to collect. Of course, this is not feasible and it makes more sense for us to deliver and this is a service we are proud to undertake for you.
